The Power of Being a Good Finder

The world is a challenging place. We are constantly exposed to negativity and suffering. Just turn on the news. It can be easy to let everything overwhelm you. What if you could change it? What if we could all learn to be good finders?

A good finder is someone who looks for the good in every person and situation.  They don’t dwell on the negative but instead, focus on the positive. They look for the good in other people and situations.

Being a good finder is not easy. It takes practice and effort. But if you learn to do this you will become a solution-oriented person. When we focus on the good, we become happier people, and we feel more fulfilled. Attitude is contagious, and this attitude is worth spreading.

Here are some tips for being a good finder:

  • Cultivate an attitude of Gratitude- Make a habit of noticing the good things in your life, big and small. This could be anything from a beautiful sunset to a kind gesture from a stranger. When we focus on the good, it becomes easier to find. To help cultivate this attitude take time to write a minimum of 3 things every morning.

  • Look for the silver lining – When something negative happens, try to find the silver lining. What can you learn from this experience? How can you make it a positive? It’s not always easy to find the good in a bad situation, but it’s worth the effort.

  • Be optimistic –  Believe that things will work out in the end. This doesn’t mean that you have to be naive or unrealistic. But it does mean that you should have hope for the future. When we are optimistic, we are more likely to find the good in every situation.

  • Help others – One of the best ways to find the good in the world is to help others. When you do something kind for someone else, it makes you feel good and it makes the world a better place.

Being a good finder is a choice. It’s a choice to focus on the positive and to make the world a better place. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. So next time you’re feeling down, remember to be a good finder. Look for the good in your life and in the world around you. You might be surprised at what you find.
